Tensions are reaching a boiling point among fans of The Traitors as they watch the Faithfuls stumble through the Scottish castle, seemingly oblivious to the Traitors' schemes. But there's one shining exception – Jessie. Her sharp instincts, reminiscent of a seasoned detective, have her hot on the trail of Stephen, a suspected Traitor. Viewers at home are cheering her on, convinced she's onto something big.
But here's where it gets controversial: Despite her impressive gameplay, Jessie's future hangs precariously in the balance. Thursday's episode left her, along with Matthew and Faraaz, vulnerable to the Traitors' next move after failing to secure protection in a mission. The irony? Sam, who did win protection, was promptly banished, leaving fans questioning the logic of it all.
If Jessie falls victim to the Traitors' blade, BBC viewers will be up in arms. She's become the clear favorite, the only Faithful many believe truly deserves the win. Social media erupted during the episode, with fans like Biddy declaring the Traitors will have a clear path to victory if they eliminate Jessie now. Derek hailed her as 'the best in the castle,' while Toby simply stated, 'Literally the only person who deserves to win,' alongside Jessie's official promo photo.
And this is the part most people miss: The Traitors themselves are well aware of Jessie's threat. Rachel, a fellow Traitor, acknowledged Jessie's accuracy, stating, 'She has it completely spot on.' Yet, they also recognize the risk of eliminating her, fearing it might expose Stephen. 'Is it the obvious thing to murder her?' Rachel pondered, 'Because nobody would think you’d be that stupid to do that.'
The Traitors' dilemma highlights Jessie's strategic prowess. While she's struggled to convince others to vote with her against Stephen, her influence could grow as the numbers dwindle. The Traitors also considered Matthew, whose attempt to join their ranks was thwarted, and Faraaz, whom Rachel inexplicably accused of being a Traitor in a recent episode, as potential targets.
The tension is palpable as viewers await the next murder, airing Friday at 8 pm on BBC One and iPlayer. Will the Traitors make a fatal mistake by eliminating their biggest threat, or will Jessie's instincts lead her to victory?
What do you think? Is Jessie the only Faithful deserving of the win? Should the Traitors eliminate her despite the risk? Join the discussion in the comments below!
