Pitti Uomo & Milan Fashion Week Men’s FW26: Top Trends, Designers & Must-See Moments (2026)

Get ready for an exciting journey into the world of men's fashion! The Fall/Winter 2026 season is about to unfold, and we're kicking things off with a bang. The fashion industry's eyes are on Florence and Milan, where creativity and menswear collide.

Carlo Capasa, president of Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (CNMI), emphasizes the importance of these cities as hubs for fashion innovation and experimentation. He highlights the resilience of the menswear sector, which is showing signs of recovery amidst industry challenges. And with that, let's dive into the highlights of this season's events.

Pitti Uomo: A Global Showcase

Pitti Uomo, the renowned men's trade show, returns for its 109th edition from January 13th to 16th. This season, over 750 brands from around the globe will come together, celebrating the theme of "motion" - a reflection of menswear's dynamic nature, intersecting with performance, travel, and everyday life.

One of the most anticipated guest designers is Hed Mayner, a Paris-based talent who will bring his architectural silhouettes to Florence for the first time. Mayner's journey, from launching his brand in 2015 to winning the Karl Lagerfeld Award at the LVMH Prize in 2019, is a testament to his creative prowess.

But here's where it gets interesting: Pitti Uomo has been expanding its horizons, welcoming design talent from beyond Europe, especially Japan. This season, we see an influx of emerging Japanese designers, including Shinyakozuka and Soshiotsuki, the latter being the LVMH Prize 2025 winner. Their unique East-meets-West tailoring is sure to captivate audiences.

And this is the part most people miss: Pitti Umano is not just about the runway shows. It's an event that attracts buyers from all over, seeking high-quality, good-value clothing. Antonio Cristaudo, chief sales and development officer at Pitti Immagine, believes this is what select retailers are looking for - a perfect blend of quality and affordability.

Milan Fashion Week Men's: A Week of Excitement

Next up is Milan, where the fashion week runs from January 16th to 20th. With 18 physical shows and 36 presentations, FW26 promises to be a spectacle. The backdrop of the Winter Olympics in nearby Cortina d'Ampezzo adds to the excitement.

Milan's leading brands, such as Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, and Tod's, will showcase their collections. But the return of Zegna, one of Milan's biggest menswear brands, is a highlight. After a show in Dubai for SS26, Zegna is back in its hometown on Friday afternoon. DSquared2, too, returns after a two-season break, with a high-energy show on Friday night.

And here's a controversial one: Ralph Lauren, an American style stalwart, will make a comeback to the Milan runway after more than 20 years. His intimate, one-off menswear show on Friday evening is sure to create a buzz. While the brand has focused on scaling its womenswear, menswear remains its core business.

Luke Leitch, Vogue's chief international correspondent, shares his insights: "Prada is an almost-default Milan highlight... it typically contains a radical gesture or two." He also notes Dolce & Gabbana, Zegna, and British brands like Paul Smith as expected highlights.

Beyond the Runways

MFW Men's is not just about the shows. Attendees will indulge in a rich presentation schedule, featuring brands like Brunello Cucinelli, Loro Piana, and Canali. Tiziana Fausti, owner of 10 Corso Como, highlights Brunello Cucinelli as the most eagerly awaited presentation, praising its consistency and style.

And this is where it gets technical: Stone Island, a key brand for many customers, will showcase its ever-evolving technical fabrics. Ferragamo, too, returns to the men's calendar with a footwear-focused presentation. The brand's focus on garment performance is a theme that has gained importance in recent years.

As Leitch puts it, "there will be a fair bit of Winter Olympics brouhaha to drift through." EA7, the sportswear brand founded by Giorgio Armani, will host an event during MFW Men's, celebrating its role as the official partner and outfitter of the Italian team for Milano Cortina 2026. French label K-Way will present a three-day event, "Montagna Milano: The Alpine Club in Town," in collaboration with Vogue and GQ, offering panels, workshops, and après-ski experiences.

Tiziana Fausti sums up the season perfectly: "For FW26, we are looking for products with a distinctive trademark. Clients seek pieces that combine technical innovation with refined design: functional outerwear, cutting-edge fabrics, and construction focused on comfort and versatility."
